Fall (again) at The Outlawz

The theme for the Saturday Paper A LA Mode challenge at the Outlawz is Fall/Halloween.  As I don't do Halloween, I needed to go with "Fall"

I started by punching lots of leaves in various Fall colours.  I pasted them onto an offcut of cs, and then trimmed the edges:

It was covered with a piece of acetate, and recessed (using foam blocks) behind a cut out rectangle on the front panel of the card.

That panel was then matted onto orange cardstock, and extra punched leaves added.  The sentiment is digital.

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge

The Wednesday challenge this week at the Outlawz is to use this sketch:

The elements of the sketch reminded me of a piano keyboard, so that was my inspiration.  May years ago I read this quote, loved it, and so decided to use it for my card - it was created in MS Word.

The top pleated layer is white cs,  scored every 1 cm, and pleated.  I used asilver glitter rose and punched flowers to embellish.

The piano keyboard border was created from white and black cs, and embellished:
